Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in the treatment of small and medium-sized area Ⅱ degree burn wounds. Methods: 120 cases of small and medium-sized Ⅱ degree burns were selected and randomly divided into 60 cases each in the observation group and the control group. The observation group was treated with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) and the control group was treated with 1% silver sulfadiazine cream, and the two groups were compared in terms of wound infection, wound healing time, wound pain after dressing change and the occurrence of adverse reactions. Results:The difference between the two groups in the wound infection rate of 7 days and 14 days after the use of superficial II degree was not significant(P>0.05);the difference between the two groups in the wound infection rate of 7 days after the use of deep II degree was not significant(P>0.05),and the wound infection rate of 14 days in the observation group was very much lower than that of the control group(P<0.01). The healing time of superficial II degree and deep II degree wounds in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group (P<0.05). The visual analog score (VAS) score of traumatic pain in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). No serious adverse reactions occurred in both groups. Conclusion:The effect of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in the treatment of small and medium-sized Ⅱ degree burn wounds was better than that of 1% silver sulfadiazine cream.
