Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in the treatment of impetigo. Methods 45 cases of children with impetigo admitted to the People's Hospital of Slide County from June 2015 to June 2016 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group. Twenty-three cases in the control group were treated with erythromycin ointment and 22 cases in the observation group were treated with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment). The treatment effects of the two groups were compared. After the treatment, the symptom scores of lesion thickness, lesion hardness, lesion area and itching degree of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rates of treatment in the control group and the observation group were 73.9% and 95.5%, respectively, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). No significant adverse reactions occurred during the treatment period in both groups. Conclusion: Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) is effective in the treatment of impetigo, and is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
