Abstract :Objective: To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) combined with glucocorticoids in the treatment of eczema. Methods: Cochrane library, Embase, Pubmed, CNKI, CBM, VIP and Wanfang data databases were searched from the establishment of the database to March 2018 to collect randomized controlled trials of Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) combined with glucocorticoids in the treatment of eczema. Two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted data and evaluated the bias risk of the included studies, and then used RevMan 5.3 software for meta-analysis. Results: A total of 11 studies were included, with a total of 1397 patients. The results of Meta-analysis showed that in terms of effectiveness, the combination of Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) and glucocorticoids in the treatment of eczema can improve the effective rate (RR=1.21, 95%CI:1.15~1.27, P<0.001) and reduce the recurrence rate (RR=0.23, 95%CI:0.12~0.46, P<0.001). In terms of safety, the combination of Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) and glucocorticoids did not increase the incidence of adverse reactions (RR=0.85, 95%CI:0.47~1.57, P=0.61). Conclusion: The combination of Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) with topical glucocorticoids can improve the effective rate of eczema treatment, reduce the recurrence rate of the disease, and does not increase the risk of adverse reactions.
