Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) assisted by 420 nm intense pulsed light in the treatment of moderate common acne vulgaris on the face. METHODS: Sixty patients with moderate normal acne on the face who received treatment at Songshan Lake Central Hospital of Dongguan City from January 2019 to March 2021 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the method of randomized numerical table, each with 30 cases. The control group was treated with 420 nm intense pulsed light, and the observation group was treated with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) after 420 nm intense pulsed light treatment. The clinical efficacy, the number, color, type, pain score and facial acne-specific quality of life (Qol-acne) score of lesions before and after treatment, and the incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups. RESULTS: The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.67%, which was higher than that of the control group (73.33%), and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the number of lesions, color, type and pain scores of patients in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the number of lesions, color, type and pain scores of patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the Qol-acne scores (self-perception, emotional functioning, social functioning and total score) of the patients in both groups were higher than before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group, and the differences were all statistically significant (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) assisted by 420 nm intense pulsed light therapy can improve the clinical efficacy of moderate acne vulgaris, promote the repair of damaged skin, improve the quality of life of patients, and the safety of patients is good.
