Abstract:ObjectiveTo analyze the nursing care and effect of the combination of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) and nano-silver medical antimicrobial dressing in the treatment of large-area burn residual wounds. Methods: A total of 40 cases of large-area burns with a single wound area of 16 cm2 or less and a wound that had not healed for 4 weeks were selected and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group in accordance with the order of admission to the hospital. After both groups cleaned the wounds with 1:1 saline + hydrogen peroxide, the treatment group covered the wounds with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment), covered the wounds with Vaseline gauze, and covered the wounds with nanosilver antimicrobial dressings infiltrated with sterile water, while the control group covered the wounds with nanosilver antimicrobial dressing. In the control group, 10% polyvinylpyrrolidone iodine ointment was applied, covered with petroleum jelly, and bandaged with sterilized gauze. Both groups were standardized to change dressings, check the bacterial changes on the wounds before, during and after treatment, and standardized nutritional support and activity control throughout the whole process. The average healing time of the treatment group was (12.33±1.97)d, which was significantly shorter than that of the control group (P<0.05), and the incidence of fever and adverse reactions in the treatment period of 7 d was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) and nano-silver medical antimicrobial dressing was effective and safe in the treatment of large-area burn residual wounds.
