Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in treating chapped nipples during lactation. Methods 400 lactation patients with chapped nipples who were diagnosed and treated in this hospital from October 2015 to November 2016 were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, with 200 cases in each group. The treatment group used Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) to smear the painful areas of chapped nipples 3 times a day; the control group used erythromycin ointment to smear the painful areas of chapped nipples 3 times a day. Observe the disappearance time of nipple pain, wound healing time, and effective rate of the two groups of patients. Results: The disappearance time of nipple pain and wound healing time in the treatment group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, and the effective rate was significantly higher than that in the control group. The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) is effective in treating chapped nipples during lactation. It can shorten the pain time, wound healing time, and relieve the pain of patients with chapped nipples during lactation. It is simple, convenient and effective.
