Abstract :Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) and penicillin G in patients with erysipelas and their effects on symptom improvement. Methods:A total of 80 patients with initial erysipelas who were admitted and diagnosed between January 2017 and January 2018 were selected and divided into a treatment group of 42 cases and a control group of 38 cases according to different treatment plans; the patients in the control group were only given intravenous infusion of penicillin G, while the patients in the treatment group were given topical Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) on this basis. The total effective rate, incidence of adverse reactions, and time to marked effect and cure were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the patients in the treatment group after clinical treatment was slightly higher than that in the control group, but there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05); no obvious adverse reactions occurred in both groups; the time to marked effect and cure of the patients in the treatment group after treatment was earlier than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) for external use and penicillin G for systemic use in the treatment of patients with erysipelas effectively accelerated the improvement of symptoms and relieved the pain of patients with erysipelas.
