Abstract :Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) combined with Puji hemorrhoid suppository in the treatment of anal sinusitis. Methods A total of 60 patients diagnosed with anal sinusitis in the outpatient department of Nanqiao Temple Hospital of Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2018 to June 2019 were selected and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group by drawing lots, with 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) combined with Puji hemorrhoid suppository, and the control group was treated with Puji hemorrhoid suppository. The total scores of symptoms and signs and clinical efficacy before treatment, 3 d and 7 d after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results 3 d after treatment, the total scores of symptoms and signs in the treatment group were lower than those before treatment and the control group (P 0.05); 7 d after treatment, the total scores of symptoms and signs in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). 3 d and 7 d after treatment , the total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) combined with Puji hemorrhoid suppository has a good effect in the treatment of anal sinusitis, can improve the clinical symptoms of patients, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
