Objective: To observe the clinical effect and safety of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in the treatment of bacterial skin infections. Methods: 82 patients with bacterial skin infections admitted to our hospital from September 2016 to September 2017 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 41 cases in each. The control group was treated with ciprofloxacin hydrochloride ointment, and the observation group was treated with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment). The clinical efficacy, changes in symptom scores, incidence of adverse reactions, and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results: Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the symptom scores between the two groups (P>0.05); after treatment, the symptom scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05); the total effective rate of treatment in the observation group It was higher than that of the control group, and the incidence rate and recurrence rate of adverse reactions were lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) is effective in treating bacterial skin infections. It can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients, reduce the recurrence rate, and is highly safe. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
