Abstract : Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of intense pulsed light combined with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in the treatment of facial acne vulgaris. Methods: 98 patients with facial acne vulgaris were randomly divided into two groups, with 50 patients in the treatment group receiving topical treatment with intense pulsed light combined with compound polymyxin B. In the control group, 48 cases were treated with simple intense pulsed light therapy. The efficacy was observed 3 weeks after each intense pulsed light treatment. Results: The effective rate of the treatment group reached 34% in the first treatment, and the effective rate increased significantly after 2 to 3 treatments. Compared with the control group, there was a statistical difference (P0.05). Conclusion: Intense pulsed light combined with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) has significant efficacy in the treatment of acne vulgaris, is fast, safe and effective.
