Abstract :Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) combined with adapalene gel in the treatment of acne vulgaris. Methods A total of 101 patients with moderate acne were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group (n=55) was treated with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) combined with adapalene gel. Adapalene gel was applied once a night and Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) was applied twice a day for 4 weeks. The control group (n=46) was treated with adapalene gel once a night and mupirocin cream twice a day for 4 weeks. Results The effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 83.6% and 65.2%, respectively, and there was a significant difference in the effective rates (P<0.05). The adverse reactions in the treatment group were significantly less than those in the control group. Conclusion Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) combined with adapalene gel can significantly improve the efficacy and reduce adverse reactions in the treatment of acne vulgaris , and it is worthy of clinical promotion.
