Abstract :Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Lankefuning combined with Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) in the treatment of acute eczema in infants and young children. Methods A total of 103 infants and young children with acute eczema were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group. There were 52 cases in the treatment group and 51 cases in the control group. In the treatment group, Lankefuning single-layer gauze was first applied to the affected area for 20 min, twice a day. After 30 minutes of wet compress, Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) was applied externally, twice a day. The SCORAD score was performed on the 3rd and 7th days after treatment to evaluate the efficacy and observe adverse reactions. In the control group, normal saline was used for wet compress and then mupirocin ointment was applied externally. The usage was the same as that of the treatment group. A telephone follow-up was conducted one month later to see if there was any recurrence, and statistical analysis was performed. Results 52 cases were enrolled in the treatment group, 46 cases were completed, and 6 cases dropped out . In the control group, 51 cases were enrolled, 35 cases were completed, and 16 cases dropped out. The SCORAD scores of the two groups showed a gradual decreasing trend on the 3rd and 7th days of treatment, respectively, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant. There was a statistically significant difference in the SCORAD scores between the treatment groups on the 3rd and 7th days of treatment. The effective rates on the 3rd day were 82.61% and 54.29%, respectively, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The effective rates of the two groups on the 7th day were 91.33% and 77.14%, respectively, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The recurrence rates were 13.04% and 34.29% in the telephone follow-up after 1 month, and no obvious adverse reactions were observed in the two groups during the treatment. Conclusion Lankefuning wet compress combined with compound polymyxin B is effective in the treatment of acute eczema in infants and young children , with rapid onset, satisfactory efficacy, rare side effects, good compliance, and low recurrence rate, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
